The Ames CSD is seeking an Information Technician.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Ames Community School District is to ensure that all learners develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes, values, and personal esteem necessary to grow in and shape a changing society.
Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Technology, the Information Technician maintains, fixes, and repairs district-owned/used technology to support the educational mission of the school district.

• Provides support and repair to professional and consumer audio/visual equipment.
• Provides on-call emergency technical assistance for audio/video, computer equipment, and software.
• Repairs, when possible, or diagnoses needed repair for all school-owned/used technologies.
• Installs and moves computer equipment around the district swiftly and efficiently.
• Arranges for outside repair of equipment if unable to repair in-house and deliver or arrange delivery if needed to outside repair locations.
• Maintains and updates inventory database.
• Inventories, sets-up, and installs new district acquired equipment.
• Arranges work tickets and provides documentation for the insurance company.
• Performs periodic cleaning and diagnostic routines on computers located around the district.
• Orders and stocks parts and supplies.
• Arranges for proper disposal of e-waste.
• Creates a sense of belonging and welcoming environment for staff.
• On-site work required.
• Attends work on a consistent and punctual basis.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma (Or equivalent)
• Post high school education in a related field, or the equivalent in experience preferred.

Compensation: $22.00/hour
